Brockington archaeologist presented at Historic Beaufort Foundation

Brockington archaeologist Eric Poplin, PhD, spoke at the Historic Beaufort Foundation’s “Dinner and a Lecture” at 6 p.m. on June 27 at Verdier House, 208 West St., Beaufort, S.C.

The topic is Altamaha Town, considered to be the oldest Native American settlement in the Beaufort area. Poplin discussed his recent excavations at the site.
